The Court of Accounts Participates in the Consultative Meeting on Developing the Work of Oversight Bodies in Lebanon

The First President of the Court of Accounts, Judge Mohamad Badran, participated in the consultative meeting on "Mechanisms for Developing Working Methods in Oversight Bodies in Lebanon: Challenges and Proposed Solutions," held on 21 July 2026 at the Voco Hotel – Ain El Mreisseh, Beirut, within the framework of the project "Building Lebanon's Future: A Multi-Directional Approach to State-Building and Recovery," at the invitation of the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace and in cooperation with the relevant oversight bodies.

The Court of Accounts' delegation included Chamber President Judge Inaam Boustani, Chamber President Judge Dr. Wassim Abou Saad, Head of Department Mr. Omar Dgheily, and First Controller Ms. Mireille Tannous.

The meeting addressed the challenges facing oversight bodies and ways to develop their working mechanisms, paving the way for recommendations that enhance the effectiveness of oversight and its role in supporting governance and institutional reform.
